How To Maximise Use Of Your Most Valuable Asset

How To Maximise Use Of Your Most Valuable Asset - Use Of Your Most Valuable Asset

What is your most valuable asset?

It’s not money, it’s time. You can make more money, however once time is gone you can never have it back again.

We all have the same amount of time each week: 168 hours, 10,080 minutes, or 604,800 seconds. So why is it that some of us achieve so much more each week than others?

It all comes down to how we manage our priorities. But before we can do that, we need to understand what our priorities and values are.

Here are our top 5 tips for working out how you can spend your time most effectively:

1. Do things that advance your overall purpose in life.

What have you already achieved? What are you good at? Everyone has a unique calling. Once you combine your passions and your talents you have found your core purpose. Once you know why you’re here and where you’re headed, it’s easier to ensure you stay on track to get there.

2. Do things that maximise your strengths.

What are you good at? Don’t waste time doing things that can be done better by others. We can’t be all things to all men, and as much as we’d like to, we can’t be good at everything. Identify your strengths and use them to your advantage.

3. Do things that make you happy.

Happiness and health are intrinsically linked. People who are healthy tend to be happier. Other factors related to happiness include positive relationships, gratitude, high self esteem, fulfilling and adequate leisure time, and having realistic goals.

4. Do things to equip others.

In business, this involves supporting those around you. Select, train, and manage the right people in the right way. Delegate to others to develop their role and their involvement in the business. Give responsibility when it’s earned and develop leaders within your business.

5. Do things that add value to others.

Give what you have. It may be your time, money, encouragement, recognition, or confidence. Whatever you have, share it with others.

By doing these things, you will ensure you use your most valuable asset in ways that enrich your life and the lives of those around you.
