What’s Your Mantra? 

Knowing your “WHY” in business is essential for your business success. People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. When people believe in your company they will WANT to buy from you.

Your WHY incorporates your beliefs, vision, mission, and purpose. To work out your WHY, ask yourself these questions:

  • Who am I and why am I in business?
  • What do I believe and why is that important to me?
  • What am I passionate about?

Guy Kawasaki, former chief evangelist of Apple, suggests that once you have worked out your WHY in business, instead of having a long mission statement, you could have a mantra which captures the essence of your organisation and what your company and team stands for.
