What’s Your Mantra?
Knowing your “WHY” in business is essential for your business success. People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. When people believe in your company they will WANT to buy from you.
Your WHY incorporates your beliefs, vision, mission, and purpose. To work out your WHY, ask yourself these questions:
- Who am I and why am I in business?
- What do I believe and why is that important to me?
- What am I passionate about?
Guy Kawasaki, former chief evangelist of Apple, suggests that once you have worked out your WHY in business, instead of having a long mission statement, you could have a mantra which captures the essence of your organisation and what your company and team stands for.
Guy Kawasaki states that his mantra is “Empowering Entrepreneurs”.
Our mantra at Yellow Executive Business Coaching is Peak Performance Is The Only Option. This reflects the way we operate not only in business, but in all aspects of life.
What is your mantra?
When you have defined your mantra, you will draw to you a team that is passionate about your business and what it does, and customers who believe not only in what you do, but why you do it. A loyal team and customers is the result.
